2002 Alumni Service & Spirit Award

This year's Algonac Alumni Service and Spirit Award and a $500.00 scholarship was given to Bobby Brisse of the Class of 2002. We had 26 well qualified applicants any of whom would have been good candidates for this reward for community service and class spirit. Thank you to those who served on the scholarship committee including Shannon Trempler of the class of 1994. Thank you as well to the company sponsors who made the award possible including Kingswood Lanes, Discount Pro-Shop, Silk Forest, VG's Food Center and Hungry Howies of Algonac. Congratulations Bobby Brisse and good luck at SVSU!

Photos Wanted

UAHSAP is seeking photos from members for the art gallery in the following categories:
a) Couple photos of Alums. If you married another AHS grad, please submit your photo together.
b) Funny Photos. If you did something wacky-silly-crazy in H.S. that was caught on film please submit the photo.
c) Pet Photos. Have a cool photo of your pet? send it in.
If you don't have a scanner UAHSAP will scan and return the photo to you. Please contact the site administrator at uahsap@excite.com for details.

Comments Well Received

Thank you to those users who have submitted comments and suggestions via the comments form. The site has received much praise, but has also received some suggestions on how the site might be improved. I have implemented a couple of those suggestions in the continued effort to improve the site. I have added navigational aids in order to jump to particular class years on each decade's page in order to improve user-friendliness of the site. Also, one user indicated that the signup form was not as clear as it could be on the email display question. That item on the signup form has been reworked in hopes of making it more clear what it is asking and why. Also, I added some additional Algonac Related links on the member resources page.

Obviously I cannot act on every suggestion, however, they are all read and considered and help determine what is good on the site and what could use improvement. Thank you for your input! Hope you enjoy the site.

The terms of service have been updated as of 2/19/01. Please review them. Your continued listing on / using the site mark your agreement to the Terms of Service.

Tumble In Membership

With the recent mass mailing regarding the update of the terms of service, many (17) of those listed on the site had email addresses that were no longer valid and as such were removed from the site. To keep up the quality of the site, please keep your listing current by updating them when changes have occurred, especially with your email address. Thank you for helping to keep the site as good as it can be!

Photo Scanning

UAHSAP offers many opportunities to share photos with other members by allowing members to include photos in their listings as well as the photo gallery. Many members would like to share photos but do not own a scanner. UAHSAP will scan the photos you want to submit free of charge. Contact the site administrator at uahsap@excite.com for details.

Faculty Section

There have been inquiries about where the faculty and staff are. Perhaps there is some confusion about the Faculty and Staff Section. The idea behind the faculty and staff section was to provide a link between alumni and faculty and staff at the high school. As such, the section is not limited to those faculty and staff that graduated from AHS. It is open to all faculty and staff members (past and present). Hopefully in the future this section develops into an integral part of the site.
